Our Code of Conduct sets the course for how we should conduct our business in ethically, socially and environmentally correct.
At Granitor, we work on sustainability every day. Through our core business, we contribute to prosperous societies and industries, with a focus on the transition needed to limit global warming.
We have six overall sustainability goals for 2021–2023: health, safety and well-being, social inclusion, business ethics, business results, materials and waste, and climate and energy.
Clear ethical compass at the heart of responsible business
All employees in Granitor’s Swedish and Norwegian operations have completed basic training on our Code of Conduct. Every employee in Granitor companies has a number of relationships with customers and partners, and it is of the utmost importance that we act correctly in order to avoid ending up in a position of dependence, for example.
The basic aspect of the training is therefore to convey the importance of reflecting and turning to your line manager if there is any uncertainty about how a situation should be dealt with. Our employees naturally want to do the right thing, and increased knowledge enhances their confidence when dealing with situations that can be ethically questionable.
How we behave, each and every day, in all our relationships with each other and with our partners is about practicing what we preach and contributing to our vision of a better future. When we act correctly, we conduct responsible business.

BUSINESS ETHICS
We are a reliable partner that operates based on fair conditions and transparency
The Code of Conduct is based on the ten principles of the UN Global Compact. It steers us towards a high ethical standard and we make the same demands of our partners and suppliers. In 2021, training was launched to strengthen employees’ business ethics and highlight risks of corruption, which the UN points out as the single biggest obstacle to achieving the goals in Agenda 2030.

We deliver a sustainable return on invested capital
By conducting business responsibly with balanced risk-taking, we create long-term value for Granitor and our stakeholders. Three times a year, all profit centers in the Granitor Group carry out scenario work to identify changes in the market in time and make adjustments in their own operations.
